Jammu youth shine in National Dance Championship

 Making Jammu proud by winning in the National Dance Championship,  three youngsters namely Vidhi Dhar, Avaapya Kak and Parth Raina won medals in their respective categories in the recently held National Dance Championship  at Haridwar on 9th and 10th April. A felicitation program was held to honor the youngsters in which Former Minister Sat Sharma (CA) felicitated all three who won Gold and Silver Medals respectively in the Championship.

District President BJP Jammu West Munish Khajuria, District General Secretaries Karan Sharma & Rajesh Gupta, Mandal President Talab Tillo Keshav Chopra, Corporator Ward 12 Jeet Angral and several others were also present including parents of the young artists.

Pertinent to mention, Vidhi and Parth won Gold and Silver Medals in Senior category whereas Avaapya won Gold in Junior category. A large number of participants from various States of the country participated in the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma congratulated all three of them and said that it is indeed a great moment for us that at such a young age, these youngsters brought laurels for the UT and have made Jammu proud. He said there is a lot of talent in every nook and corner of J&K and there is a need to explore it and for that youngsters should be appreciated and promoted so that they do not feel neglected. He also said that the UT Government should design a blueprint to promote such youngsters as there are a lot of youth in Jammu and Kashmir who have not been given their due share for the performances they have done in the events which were held at National and international level. He stated that youth is the backbone of our country and it is our prime duty to support them in every way possible. He also stated that BJP is committed to honor such youngsters who have made J&K proud and such events will be held regularly to promote talented youngsters of the UT, he added.

Munish Khajuria talked about the initiatives taken by the Central Government to promote the talented youngsters.
